Bit underproffed (the crumb in the bottom is tighterthan the one in the top), and two bits overbaked (thick crust on the bottom), other than that, it’s a VERY good first loaf.

As a fairly experienced brioche eater, I would say this looks legit. Definitely would buy! As an inexperienced brioche baker, I would be over the moon with this.

Beautiful! Try sprinkling with a bunch of poppy seeds onto the egg wash before baking next time.
If he has a baking stone and baking parchment, try ditching the pan 🙂

Can you, please, please, pretty please, ask him for the recipe?? 🙏 This looks exactly like the bread I would always buy from this one local bakery. Unfortunately, there was an accident and the bakery burnt down. They never recovered from that and I have been unable to buy this bread elsewhere ever since 😢
